Alkaline Protease
Activity Definition
One Alkaline protease activity unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme which releases 1.0μg tyrosine from casein in 1 min at 40℃ and pH10.5.
Functions
1. Supplement the shortage of endogenous protease in animal gastrointestine
2. Hydrolyze peptide bond in feed protein, save feed cost by increasing feed protein digestibility
3. Increase usage of lower quality protein sources such as miscellaneous meals and sorghum
4. Protect the environment by reducing the nitrogen excretion from animal
5. Suitable for function sites in intestine that around pH 8-10
